MFL Spanish Teacher - GCSE/A Levels

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting a Teacher - MFL (Spanish) for GCSE and A Levels to join Noya British School, its newest flagship school on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The position starts in August 2027 and supports the school's growing family of schools in the United Arab Emirates.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver inspiring lessons that help students achieve the best possible outcomes, working with colleagues to plan engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
• Organise classroom provision and learning resources, create displays and adjust planning and the curriculum in response to student progress.
• Take responsibility for class progress, record student development using Target Tracker and use assessment data to inform planning, provision and intervention.
• Give feedback to parents and carers on progress at parent-teacher conferences and other meetings, and communicate about achievements and well-being through school systems such as CPOMS.
• Meet with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists when needed.
• Manage classes effectively, follow the school's behaviour policy and maintain good relationships with pupils.
• Work as part of a curriculum action group and embed the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in the related subject with a PGCE or other teacher qualification.
• Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience in GCSE/A Levels.
• Clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check.
• Experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.

• Effective communication with colleagues, parents and carers.
