MHE Electrical Technician

About the role

CBRE Excellerate, part of the international CBRE group, is hiring an MHE electrical technician to carry out planned and reactive maintenance of material handling equipment at warehouse and logistics facilities. The focus is on keeping conveyor and sortation systems running safely and reliably, with primary specialization in electrical maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and attend equipment breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults, motors, VFDs, sensors and control systems.
• Identify defects, recommend corrective actions and spare parts, and record maintenance activities in the CMMS/CAFM system.
• Follow electrical safety, LOTO, PTW and machine-guarding procedures, and escalate unsafe conditions and complex technical issues.
• Attend maintenance work orders, stop work and report unsafe conditions, recommend repairs and spare parts, and verify equipment readiness after authorized testing.

Required profile

• ITI, Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience with conveyor systems, motors and electrical controls preferred.
• Competencies: communication, productivity, customer and quality focus, accuracy, problem solving and decision making.

Required skills

• Electrical troubleshooting and motor controls.
• VFDs, sensors, multimeters and basic PLC diagnostics.
• Conveyor electrical systems and protection devices.
• CMMS/CAFM, LOTO, PTW and electrical safety.
