About the role

Ignite School is seeking a motivated Middle and High School English (ELA) Teacher for an immediate start in Dubai. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, international faculty committed to creative, student‑centered learning and the development of 21st‑century citizens. You will teach using the American curriculum, incorporating inquiry‑based methods and sustainability‑focused projects.

Required profile

• Major in English
• Valid teaching certification for the subject and level
• New York State certification preferred
• At least 2 years of recent post‑certification teaching experience
• Experience teaching in a US district school using Common Core standards
• Fluent English speaker
• US passport valid for at least 6 months
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Three professional references, including a current supervisor
• Experience certificate if 2+ years teaching in the UAE
• Preference for candidates already residing in Dubai or the UAE
• Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination or willingness to be vaccinated upon arrival
