Minibar In-Charge

About the role

The Minibar In-Charge oversees the daily operation of the minibar service in a luxury hotel environment. Reporting to the Outlet Manager, this role ensures minibars are fully stocked, accurately billed and aligned with Fairmont’s high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support Minibar Attendants, planning daily replenishment based on occupancy.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular counts, investigating discrepancies and monitoring expiry dates.
• Ensure minibar consumption is posted promptly to guest accounts and coordinate billing with Finance.
• Collaborate with Housekeeping and Front Office to align room status and guest requests.
• Control waste, breakage and cost, implementing cost‑control initiatives.
• Handle guest enquiries or complaints related to minibar service professionally.
• Prepare operational reports and assist during audits, ensuring compliance with HACCP and brand standards.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of minibar experience in a luxury hotel, including supervisory exposure.
• Strong knowledge of food & beverage, wine, spirits, liqueurs and cigars.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and a reliable, responsible attitude.

Required skills

• Inventory control expertise.
• Proficiency with POS systems.
• Understanding of HACCP and health‑safety regulations.
