Mobile App Team Lead (iOS/Android) - FinTech Trading App

About the role

eMagine Solutions is hiring a Mobile App Team Lead for a confidential FinTech client building a mobile trading app across iOS and Android. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will own delivery, releases and the day-to-day direction of the mobile team through launch and beyond. You will also stay close to the code and help keep the team focused.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support mobile engineers across iOS and Android, covering priorities, delivery and quality
• Break work into clear tasks, assign ownership, remove blockers and keep timelines honest
• Run technical design discussions and ensure solutions are scalable, secure and maintainable
• Review code, coach engineers and keep standards high (architecture, patterns, clean code)
• Own the full release process for Apple App Store and Google Play (versioning, submissions, release notes, store assets, compliance)
• Work closely with Product, UI/UX, Backend, QA, DevOps, Security, Compliance and stakeholders
• Drive performance and reliability (crashes, memory, responsiveness, platform-specific issues)
• Improve the team's way of working over time (estimation, CI/CD, automation, testing, monitoring)

Required profile

• 7+ years in mobile development
• 2+ years in a mobile team lead or technical lead role
• Proven experience publishing and maintaining apps on both the App Store and Google Play
• Comfortable integrating REST APIs, JSON, third-party SDKs, auth flows and mobile data layers
• Nice to have: FinTech, trading, forex, banking, payments or onboarding experience; strong Agile/Scrum habits; sensible use of AI tools to speed delivery and improve testing

Required skills

• Strong hands-on experience in iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin/Java); solid understanding of both ecosystems
• Common architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVP, MVC and Clean Architecture
• Nice to have: UIKit, CoreData, App Store Connect, Jetpack, Room, Retrofit, Coroutines, Firebase, Google Play Console, Crashlytics, Sentry, App Center, mobile security (biometrics, secure storage, encrypted communication)
