MPD Operator

About the role

The MPD Operator will support the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) systems for offshore projects. Working closely with the operations team, you will ensure safe and efficient MPD applications, including pressurized mud‑cap drilling and under‑balanced drilling.

Key responsibilities

• Operate MPD systems, specialty riser joints, umbilical reels, control skids, and manifolds on offshore rigs.
• Assist with drilling, connections, formation integrity tests, logging, and cementing during MPD sections.
• Perform routine MPD calculations and generate accurate daily and end‑of‑well reports.
• Maintain and lubricate MPD equipment, ensuring preservation when not in use.
• Participate in off‑site DWOP, HAZID, and training exercises.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of technical experience with MPD systems and support equipment.
• 2+ years of hands‑on MPD operational experience.
• Valid well‑control certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a rotational offshore environment.
