About the role
The Neonatology Consultant provides senior, evidence‑based medical care for newborns in both inpatient and outpatient settings, leading clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and supervise delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based neonatal care, including diagnosis, treatment and management of patients.
- Supervise and train junior medical staff (specialists, GPs and residents) and participate in multidisciplinary meetings.
- Participate in on‑call rotations, covering evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
- Document clinical information accurately and ensure compliance with hospital, DOH and SEHA policies.
Required profile
- MBBS or equivalent with a recognised specialty training programme (Board Certification, Royal College Fellowship or equivalent).
- Minimum 3–7 years post‑specialty clinical experience in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Valid DOH licence for Abu Dhabi, including primary source verification and, if required, DOH exam.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
