Nursery Manager (Head of Early Years)

About the role

Jumeirah International Nurseries, part of the Fortes Education family of schools, is recruiting an experienced Nursery Manager (Head of Early Years) for its Early Childhood Centre in Dubai. The centre offers early years education from 45 days to 6 years, including FS1, FS2 and Year 1, and is seeking someone able to lead and manage the centre in a dynamic, diverse and creative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day academic and operational functions of the Early Childhood Centre, including delivering the group's vision and maximising the number of children enrolled across the programmes.
• Handle recruitment, retention and development of staff, and oversee day-to-day financial systems.
• Develop and deliver a balanced EYFS / IPC curriculum based on play-based activities, the Reggio Emilia and Curiosity Approaches, enriched by Fortes' Accelerated Learning programmes.
• Keep the premises at the highest quality standards and ensure compliance with the regulations of the KHDA, DHA, Dubai Municipality and other government authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification in Early Childhood Education, or a Level 5 vocational qualification, with at least 3 years' experience in an Early Childhood setting.
• Comprehensive knowledge of childcare requirements and regulations, and proven success in managing an Early Childhood Centre.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and an outstanding work ethic.
