About the role

The Nursing Director / Hospital Operations Director leads nursing services and overall hospital operations to ensure high‑quality patient care, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies and procedures aligned with hospital objectives.
• Oversee nursing services, patient care delivery, staffing and daily hospital operations.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, licensing, accreditation and clinical governance.
• Monitor patient safety, infection prevention, clinical quality and risk management.
• Manage workforce planning, staff performance, training and professional development.
• Coordinate with doctors, department heads and administrative teams for effective service delivery.
• Track performance indicators, patient satisfaction, service quality and operational efficiency.
• Control departmental budgets, resource allocation and cost management.
• Review operational reports, investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Lead internal and external audits, inspections and accreditation activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management or related field (Master's preferred).
• Proven experience in nursing leadership, hospital administration or healthcare operations.
• Valid professional nursing registration where applicable.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, clinical governance and patient safety.
• Excellent leadership, decision‑making and stakeholder management skills.
