Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer (Break & Fix Support)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Nutanix Engineer / Networking IT Support Engineer to provide break‑and‑fix services for enterprise infrastructure in Abu Dhabi. The role is freelance on‑call, requiring both onsite and remote support while maintaining high customer service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver onsite and remote break‑and‑fix support for networking and infrastructure incidents.
• Deploy, configure and manage Nutanix HCI environments (AOS, AHV, Prism) and perform system upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, virtualization and network issues, including TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching.
• Implement and support backup and disaster‑recovery solutions and respond to critical incidents within agreed response times.
• Collaborate with global and regional teams on infrastructure and cloud projects and maintain accurate technical documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, networking or IT support engineering.
• Valid CCNA certification and at least 90% score on the induction assessment.
• Fluent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Ability to work independently in customer‑facing environments with a professional demeanor.

Required skills

• Nutanix ecosystem (AOS, AHV, Prism).
• VMware and/or Hyper‑V environments.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching.
• Backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Scripting with PowerShell and/or Python.
• Optional: Nutanix Certification (NCP or higher), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
