Occupational Hand Therapist

About the role

Healthpoint, a multi‑specialty hospital in Abu Dhabi, is seeking an experienced Occupational Hand Therapist to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with upper extremity conditions. The role involves delivering evidence‑based rehabilitation to restore strength, range of motion and function.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed assessments of hand and upper limb function using standardized tools and manual techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including manual therapy, splinting, scar management, edema control and neuromuscular re‑education.
• Design and fabricate custom static and dynamic orthoses for protection, support or functional use.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy or MSc in Occupational Therapy from a recognized program.
• Minimum 5 years of hand therapy experience, including treatment of post‑surgical patients.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and a valid UAE Department of Health license.
• Strong knowledge of upper‑extremity anatomy, biomechanics and surgical protocols.
