Operational Risk Associate

About the role

ADIB Group is looking for an Operational Risk Associate in Abu Dhabi, UAE, a risk management position supporting the implementation of the Operational Risk Management (ORM) framework. The role starts with incident management and related activities, and the holder will help execute and implement the ORM framework across the group. It is open to UAE national fresh graduates.

Key responsibilities

• Provide proactive support to the Operational Risk Management team on all matters.
• Help manage operational risk incidents and losses.
• Facilitate the identification and assessment of key operational risk exposures in line with the ORM framework and procedural standards.
• Support the management of issues and the timely implementation of actions.
• Support the identification and assessment of key risk indicators.
• Update and monitor operational risk data using the Group ORM platform, and collate data for regular reports on risk profiles, analysis and exposures.
• Support the implementation and development of ORM programmes and tools such as RCSA, KRIs, incident management and issues and actions management.
• Support the implementation of ORM policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate with a degree in Finance, Accounting or Business; no specific work experience required.
• UAE nationality.
• Proactive, confident and highly self-motivated, with a strong appetite to learn and a keen eye for detail.
• Sound work ethic and desire for self-development.

Required skills

• Excellent English communication skills.
• Problem-solving, analytical (qualitative), research and computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and business stakeholders.
