Operations Manager, Fitness & Membership

About the role

The Operations Manager, Fitness & Membership will lead the operational, commercial and service‑excellence strategy for AWAKEN Fitness at Atlantis The Royal. The role ensures a world‑class luxury fitness experience while driving membership growth, guest engagement, team performance and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of all fitness, movement, recovery and membership services, ensuring cleanliness, safety and equipment standards.
• Develop and enforce SOPs, conduct operational audits and maintain compliance with health, safety and emergency procedures.
• Drive membership acquisition, retention and renewal through targeted strategies, exclusive benefits, events and personalized service.
• Manage departmental revenue targets, budgeting, forecasting and labour cost control to achieve profitability.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of fitness professionals, Wellness Experience Agents and Attendants, handling recruitment, performance reviews and career development.
• Deliver a premium guest experience for VIPs, residents and high‑profile clientele, monitoring satisfaction scores and leading service recovery.
• Collaborate with Spa, Nutrition and Hotel Operations to create integrated wellbeing programmes and innovative fitness initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience managing fitness or wellness operations in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Proven track record of growing membership revenue, improving retention and achieving budgetary goals.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills with the ability to develop high‑performing teams.
