Order Taker – Room Dining (Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah)

About the role

As an Order Taker in the Room Dining team at Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, you will be the first point of contact for guests ordering in‑room meals. Your friendly voice and attention to detail will help create memorable hospitality experiences throughout each stay.

Key responsibilities

• Answer Room Service calls promptly, promote menu items and specials, and provide preparation details.
• Accurately record orders, repeat them back to guests, and quote expected delivery times.
• Enter orders into the Point‑of‑Sale system so the kitchen can begin preparation.
• Process payments, verify totals, manage tips and handle cash according to accounting guidelines.
• Coordinate tray and table pick‑up, directing bus staff as needed.
• Address guest complaints positively, negotiate solutions and implement them.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and attend mandatory meetings.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service standards.
• Familiarity with the full menu and ability to describe items clearly.
• Good command of English for guest interaction.
• Ability to follow written product labeling and safety instructions.

Required skills

• Operation of a Point‑of‑Sale (POS) system.
• Cash handling and basic accounting procedures.
