Orthopaedic Consultant

About the role

Al Emadi Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Orthopaedic Consultant who is passionate about delivering high-quality orthopaedic care and has the expertise to diagnose and treat a wide range of orthopaedic conditions. The consultant works in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation and comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Conduct thorough evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations and diagnostic tests, to diagnose orthopaedic conditions.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, combining surgical and non-surgical interventions as appropriate.
• Perform orthopaedic surgeries with precision and adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Stay up to date with advances in orthopaedic medicine and use evidence-based practice in clinical decisions.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families on conditions, treatment options and post-operative care.
• Take part in departmental meetings, case conferences and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Board certification or equivalent qualification in orthopaedic surgery.
• Minimum 10 years of experience as an Orthopaedic Consultant with a proven track record of successful patient outcomes.
• Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to tailor treatment plans to patient needs and preferences.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with multidisciplinary teams and provide compassionate care.
