OT Clerk

About the role

Quttainah Specialized Hospital (QSH), a specialized cosmetic surgery hospital in Dubai, is hiring a full-time, on-site OT Clerk to support the smooth operation of the Operating Theater. The role covers scheduling, coordination and accurate documentation of patient details, consents and procedure records.

Key responsibilities

• Manage OT schedules and coordinate surgical lists
• Maintain and update OT logs, and prepare and organize files and forms needed before and after surgery
• Assist in communication between nursing staff, surgeons, anesthetists and administrative departments
• Enter data into hospital systems, verify information and handle telephone and in-person inquiries about OT bookings
• Ensure records comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Possible duties: prepare basic reports, support inventory documentation and contribute to a safe, efficient surgical environment

Required profile

• Secondary education required; a diploma or certificate in healthcare administration or a related field is an advantage
• Previous experience as an OT Clerk or in a similar hospital clerical role is preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to work on-site in Dubai and collaborate in a diverse, multidisciplinary team

Required skills

• Administrative and clerical skills, including accurate data entry, record keeping and document management
• Basic knowledge of hospital operations or healthcare settings, ideally with exposure to operating theaters or surgical procedures
• Proficiency with office software and hospital information systems, including scheduling tools and electronic medical records
• Effective communication with medical, nursing and administrative teams, and attention to detail and confidentiality
