Outpatient Pharmacist

About the role

The Outpatient Pharmacist is responsible for daily pharmaceutical operations in the outpatient pharmacy of Healthpoint. This includes preparing, compounding, and dispensing medications in strict accordance with physician prescriptions, M42 policies, and Department of Health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and validate outpatient prescriptions to ensure accuracy and therapeutic appropriateness.
• Accurately prepare, label, dispense, and deliver medications while complying with DoH regulations and internal standards.
• Provide patient counselling on medication usage, dosage, side effects, and adherence.
• Maintain up‑to‑date patient medication records and profiles.
• Monitor and manage medication inventory, including controlled substances, expiry tracking, and removal of damaged stock.
• Ensure infection control, patient safety, and quality standards within the pharmacy setting.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support safe prescribing practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
• Relevant clinical exposure, internship, or placement in a hospital or retail pharmacy.
• Holder of a Department of Health (DoH) pharmacy license.
• Knowledge of key pharmaceutical procedures and current best practices.
• Good understanding of pharmacy‑related regulations.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
