Pain Medicine Consultant – UAE (Tax‑Free Salary)

About the role
A leading healthcare provider in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced Pain Medicine Consultant to join a multidisciplinary clinical team. The role involves comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute, chronic, cancer‑related, neuropathic and musculoskeletal pain using both pharmacologic and interventional techniques.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and manage a wide spectrum of pain conditions, including acute, chronic, cancer‑related and neuropathic pain.
- Perform image‑guided pain procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural injections, radio‑frequency ablation and joint interventions.
- Develop multimodal pain‑management plans that incorporate medication optimisation, rehabilitation, psychology and lifestyle support.
- Coordinate care with orthopaedics, neurology, oncology, rheumatology and rehabilitation teams.
- Educate patients on long‑term pain control, functional restoration and safe analgesic use.
- Maintain high standards of consent, clinical documentation, procedural safety and patient outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical governance, quality‑improvement and patient‑safety initiatives.
Required profile
- Internationally trained Pain Medicine Consultant with recognised qualifications (e.g., American Board certification with Pain Medicine fellowship, UK CCT, FRCA/FFPMRCA, European Diploma, Canadian Royal College, Australian Pain Medicine subspecialty, Arab Board or equivalent).
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
- Eligibility for UAE licensing and facility credentialing.
