Pain Medicine Specialist (Junior to Consultant)

About the role

A leading government healthcare facility in the UAE is expanding its multidisciplinary team with Pain Medicine Specialists at junior, senior and consultant levels. The role involves comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management of patients suffering from acute and chronic pain.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients with acute, chronic, neuropathic, musculoskeletal, cancer‑related and postoperative pain.
• Develop individualized, evidence‑based pain management plans.
• Perform interventional pain procedures appropriate to training and experience.
• Collaborate with anaesthesia, surgery, rehabilitation, neurology and other specialties.
• Monitor treatment outcomes, adjust plans and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, teaching and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS/MBChB or equivalent medical degree.
• MD/MS/DNB or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Pain Medicine, Anaesthesiology or a related specialty.
• Relevant post‑specialisation experience matching the advertised level.
• Strong clinical judgment, patient‑management skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Board certifications such as UK CCT, American Board, Australian Board or South African Board are highly encouraged.
