Paint Technician - Aircraft Surface Finishing

About the role

Air Arabia is looking for a Paint Technician to carry out aircraft painting and surface finishing on aircraft undergoing Base and Line Maintenance. The role ensures that all assigned work meets the required quality and technical standards, supports aircraft appearance and protection, and that all painting maintenance is completed, recorded accurately and in a timely manner in line with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review assigned task cards with the Engineer-in-Charge before starting work, understanding priorities, documentation needs and cautions.
• Prepare and perform scheduled maintenance according to task cards, obtaining and using the right documentation, parts, tools and ground support equipment.
• Carry out paint repairs in line with approved data, procedures and the Engineer-in-Charge's direction.
• Draw tooling and equipment from stores and return it in good condition after each task.
• Report task status regularly and alert the Engineer-in-Charge to aircraft condition or execution issues.
• Manage safety, follow mandatory precautions, use protective equipment and GSE, and respect human factors such as work interruption procedures and adequate access and lighting.
• Support the team and other departments involved in scheduled maintenance checks, and represent Air Arabia professionally to external partners and customers.
• Keep cost awareness, minimising waste of consumables and part repair costs.

Required profile

• At least 2 years' experience performing maintenance on large commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus types.
• At least 2 years' experience in a Base Maintenance Workshop environment.
• Solid basic understanding of airframe and engine maintenance theory and practice.
• Good standard of reading, writing, speaking and understanding English for technical communication.
• Ability to use a computer (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to obtain a UAE driver's licence.
