Painter – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Painter will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and carry out painting and surface‑preparation tasks throughout the hotel property.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets.
• Prepare surfaces, paint, and conduct minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, A/C filters, and perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Program televisions, input HVAC schedules, and adjust temperature settings.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent.
• Driver’s license.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation and painting.

Required skills

• Painting and surface preparation.
• Minor drywall and wood‑trim repair.
• Plumbing repair (e.g., plunging toilets, unclogging drains).
• Electrical component repair (lamps, switches, outlets, extension cords).
• TV programming and basic HVAC computer input.
• Lockout/Tagout safety procedures.
• Landscaping and sprinkler system maintenance.
