Part-Time Lecturer in Architecture and Materiality

About the role

Canadian University Dubai is seeking a part‑time lecturer to join the School of Architecture and Interior Design for the Fall 2026‑2027 semester. The role focuses on guiding undergraduate students through architectural studio projects that integrate design, construction, and materiality.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate architectural design studios with an emphasis on materiality and construction systems.
• Mentor students in developing coherent, technically informed design proposals.
• Facilitate studio sessions that explore the relationship between space, structure, and material choices.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to curriculum development related to design methodology and sustainable material strategies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Architecture or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in architectural design, studio teaching, and materiality.
• Experience with design development, detailing, and small‑to‑medium scale building projects.
• Strong background in both digital and physical representation of architecture.
• Prior experience in higher education and professional practice is highly desirable.
