Part‑time VAT & Compliance Accountant

About the role

Alpha Leadership Co. is looking for a detail‑oriented part‑time accountant to manage UAE VAT and corporate tax compliance, financial reporting and day‑to‑day accounting for its Free Zone entities. The role requires hands‑on experience with the Federal Tax Authority portal and multi‑entity accounting within the Meydan Free Zone and RAK ICC.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and submit monthly and quarterly VAT returns in line with FTA regulations.
• Manage corporate tax compliance and filings for Free Zone entities.
• Maintain accurate general‑ledger entries, supporting documentation and accounting records.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare periodic financial statements, management reports and cash‑flow summaries.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks and government authorities.
• Maintain audit‑ready financial records and supporting schedules.
• Develop financial KPI dashboards and quarterly reporting packs for management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of hands‑on UAE accounting and VAT compliance experience.
• Proven experience preparing and submitting VAT returns through the FTA portal.
• Strong understanding of UAE corporate tax regulations and Free Zone requirements.
• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA or CA is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
