About the role

The British Council Teaching Centre in Sharjah is seeking a Part‑time Young Learner Assistant to support classroom teachers in delivering a vibrant English learning experience for young children. The role is hourly paid, temporary, and open to candidates who hold a valid UAE residence visa and are eligible to work in the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the class teacher to create a positive, engaging English learning environment.
• Assist in the day‑to‑day management of young learners while they are in the centre.
• Support classroom activities, materials preparation, and learner supervision.
• Ensure adherence to the British Council’s Child Protection policy and complete required background checks.

Required profile

• Residency in the UAE with a valid residence visa.
• Eligibility to work in the UAE.
• Passion for working with young children and promoting English language development.
