About the role

The Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort is seeking an enthusiastic Pastry Commis to join its culinary team. This entry‑level position supports the preparation and service of pastry items across the resort’s outlets, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mise‑en‑place for pastry stations and assist in food service.
• Follow food preparation and presentation guidelines to maintain consistent quality.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy, and compliant with hygiene and safety standards.
• Maintain food safety practices, including proper storage, dating, and rotation.
• Support departmental training, checklists, and cleaning schedules.
• Assist at events, banquets, and other functions as required.
• Adhere to personal hygiene, grooming, fire safety, and health & safety rules.

Required profile

• Basic cake decorating, piping, glazing, and dessert plating abilities.
• Knowledge of baking techniques and operation of pastry equipment.
• Understanding of food safety, HACCP, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
• Familiarity with proper food storage and handling practices.
