Pastry Commis (Level 1)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Pastry Commis (Level 1) to join the culinary team at Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort. The role supports the pastry department in preparing and presenting high‑quality desserts and baked goods for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mise‑en‑place and assist in the service of pastry items across all outlets.
• Follow food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality.
• Maintain clean, tidy and hygienic work areas, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Handle food storage, dating, rotation and compliance with HACCP procedures.
• Support departmental checklists, cleaning schedules and assist at events, banquets and special functions.
• Participate in training sessions and contribute ideas for improving presentation standards.
• Uphold personal hygiene, grooming, fire safety and health‑and‑safety rules.

Required profile

• Basic skills in cake decorating, piping, glazing and dessert plating.
• Understanding of baking techniques and ability to operate standard pastry equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP principles.
