About the role
The Ritz‑Carlton in Dubai is seeking a Cook II – Pastry to join its Food & Beverage team. The role involves preparing high‑quality baked goods and supporting kitchen operations in a luxury hotel environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality, presentation standards and food prep checklists.
- Portion, chop, store ingredients and safely use baking and measuring tools, equipment and appliances.
- Ensure compliance with food safety handling policies, personal hygiene procedures and sanitation standards.
- Monitor kitchen appliance and food temperatures, reporting any issues to management.
- Maintain a clean and disinfected work area, set‑up and break‑down work stations, and follow cleaning procedures.
Required profile
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Less than 1 year of related pastry or culinary experience.
- No supervisory experience required.
Required skills
- Operation of baking equipment and measuring tools.
- Food safety and temperature monitoring compliance.
