Patient Care Intern – Abu Dhabi

About the role

The Patient Care Intern supports and manages patient support programs, ensuring patients receive timely, compassionate assistance throughout their treatment journey. Acting as a trusted advocate, the intern helps remove barriers to care and promotes seamless enrollment and medication delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the line manager and program team in managing patient support programs and liaising with key stakeholders.
• Ensure timely enrolment of eligible patients according to defined workflows and program timelines.
• Coordinate with patients to facilitate a seamless enrolment process and maintain accurate, complete patient files.
• Accompany team members on visits to healthcare providers, pharmacies, or support sites to support program implementation.
• Prepare regular performance reports, maintain electronic records, and report adverse events in line with SOPs.

Required profile

• A degree in a medical field, social work, or a related discipline.
• 1‑2 years of experience in healthcare, scientific, NGO, or customer‑service environments.
• Experience with data monitoring, management or logistics coordination is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, adaptability and a teamwork orientation.
