PAUT Operator – Advanced NDT Inspection

About the role

The PAUT Operator is responsible for performing advanced non‑destructive testing (NDT) inspections, ensuring safety, quality and compliance with procedural requirements in oil & gas environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced PAUT inspections such as tube inspection, tank floor inspection, and guided wave applications following approved procedures.
• Maintain and use all safety devices and tools, ensuring a clean and safe work area.
• Prepare final inspection reports and interpret data accurately without false calls.
• Troubleshoot and maintain PAUT equipment, selecting appropriate probes and accessories for each scope.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years overall experience with at least 3 years post‑certification as PCN PAUT Level 2.
• Experience in phased‑array ultrasonic testing in piping, pipelines and equipment within the oil & gas sector.
• Commitment to safety, participation in toolbox talks and adherence to site instructions.

Required skills

• PCN PAUT Level 2 certification
• Advanced NDT techniques: tube inspection, tank floor inspection, long and short‑range guided wave
• Selection and use of probes and accessories for various PAUT applications
• Data interpretation and report preparation
• Troubleshooting of PAUT equipment
