Payroll Accountant - UAE Payroll & WPS Compliance

About the role

A company in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Accountant to manage payroll operations and support HR-related financial activities. The role covers accurate salary processing, payroll reporting, employee records management and compliance with UAE Labour Law and WPS requirements. Immediate availability is preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll accurately and ensure timely salary payments.
• Manage payroll records, employee data and HRMS administration.
• Handle UAE payroll requirements including WPS, leave salary and end-of-service calculations.
• Prepare payroll reports using Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and UAE labour regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll and financial information.
• Coordinate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in payroll processing, HRMS administration and HR operations.
• Hands-on experience managing payroll for UAE-based employees.
• Good knowledge of UAE Labour Law, WPS requirements, leave salary and end-of-service calculations.
• Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage confidential information and meet payroll deadlines.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.

Required skills

• Practical experience with HRMS and payroll systems; experience with 1C is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
