Payroll Specialist – HR Shared Services (MEA)

About the role

As part of the HR Shared Services team in Dubai, the Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate, timely and compliant payroll delivery across assigned MEA countries, handling end‑to‑end processing, vendor coordination and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full monthly payroll cycle for assigned MEA countries, including hires, exits, salary changes, allowances, deductions, commissions, bonuses and leave calculations.
• Partner with external payroll providers such as ADP and BSH Soft, reviewing outputs, resolving discrepancies and strengthening payroll controls.
• Ensure compliance with local labour laws, tax, social security and data‑protection requirements, preparing and reconciling payroll reports for finance and audits.
• Collaborate with Finance to reconcile payroll costs, liabilities and journal entries, supporting month‑end and year‑end activities.
• Provide expert support to employees and business stakeholders on payslips, deductions, statutory matters and final settlements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 5 years of payroll experience in a multinational or shared‑services environment.
• Strong understanding of payroll controls, reconciliations and compliance.
• Proven ability to work with external payroll vendors and cross‑functional teams.
