People Director for Luxury Retail Brand

About the role

The People Director will own the People and Culture strategy for Level Shoes globally, partnering directly with the CEO and senior leadership to drive talent, performance and change initiatives that support growth and diversification.

Key responsibilities

• Translate commercial strategy into a people strategy with clear priorities, milestones and metrics.
• Build workforce plans, identify talent, manage succession and lead senior hiring in partnership with talent acquisition.
• Own performance management, reward architecture and ensure competitive, coherent compensation.
• Lead organisation design, effectiveness and global vs. HQ ways of working, especially between the US and UAE.
• Drive change management for market expansion, omnichannel transformation, new systems and restructuring.
• Uphold Level Shoes culture, measure engagement, and shape employee experience across the lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws, manage employee relations and leverage data for D&I and workforce planning.

Required profile

• 12–15 years of HR experience, including senior business partnering to executive leadership.
• Background in retail, fashion or luxury with multi‑brand and ecommerce expertise.
• Proven track record in organisation design, workforce planning and leading change during rapid growth.
• Experience building talent, succession and leadership development programmes.
• Strong commercial acumen, data‑driven decision making and ability to coach senior leaders.
• Degree in HR, Business or related field; advanced qualifications (Masters, CIPD) are a plus.
