People Partner - OTB

About the role

On behalf of OTB, an international fashion and luxury group with more than 6,000 employees worldwide, Chalhoub Group is seeking a People Partner in Dubai to support a multi-business luxury retail joint venture. The role acts as a trusted people advisor to the General Manager and leadership team, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the people agenda across corporate and frontline retail functions.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business priorities into people strategies aligned with the joint venture's objectives, implementing group HR policies while adapting to the JV's needs
• Drive recruitment planning, selection, onboarding and integration, and support workforce planning, headcount budgets and succession planning
• Coordinate performance management, talent reviews, succession planning and development, coach managers on performance and sensitive people matters, and support compensation, reward and recognition
• Own employee engagement initiatives, run regular store visits and feedback, and handle employee relations matters with discretion and empathy
• Manage relationships with JV leadership, Group HR and international partners, prepare and interpret people metrics, and own people projects from planning to delivery

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a People Partner, HR Business Partner or comparable generalist HR role, ideally in luxury retail, fashion, hospitality or another customer-facing environment
• Ability to support both corporate and frontline operational teams
• Strong stakeholder management and commercial awareness, linking people initiatives to business performance
• Comfortable working independently in a lean, entrepreneurial organisation while navigating the governance of a larger corporate group
• Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence and the ability to build trust with employees and senior leadership
