Personal Coach - SIRO One Za'abeel

About the role

SIRO One Za'abeel, a Kerzner International brand offering fitness, nutrition, sleep, recovery and mindfulness facilities in its destination hotel, is looking for a Personal Coach. The role involves interacting with guests and members, ensuring the highest standards of group exercise classes and personal training, and helping them reach their goals while contributing to the fitness department's financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Meet and greet every guest and member, conduct inductions and health profiles, and prescribe programmes based on goals and results.
• Offer advice on safe training techniques and promote internal and external programmes and services.
• Support the planning and delivery of class initiatives, keep the group exercise timetable up to date and track class utilisation.
• Create and develop innovative classes and programmes, monitor attendance and run the New Member Journey.
• Conduct at least 60 personal training sessions per calendar month after three months, maintain client records and sell sessions to help reach financial targets.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the fitness areas, enforce gym rules and report faults immediately.
• Take part in daily fitness briefings and weekly meetings, attend training and stay updated on fitness and wellness industry developments.
• Handle guest complaints proactively, follow health and safety and fire procedures, and uphold hotel policies and standards.

Required profile

• Fluent written and spoken English; other languages are an advantage.
• Degree in Sports Science or a related field, or a national personal training certification (REP Level A equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a fitness professional.
• Outstanding customer service, welcoming and sociable personality, attention to detail and hygiene.
• Strong coaching and motivation skills, ability to build a clientele, and flexible availability for evenings, weekends and holidays.
