Pharmacist - Emirati Talent

About the role

Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Hospital, a 200-bed JCI-accredited hospital in Abu Dhabi's Northern Emirates, is recruiting a Pharmacist. The role covers the daily pharmaceutical operations of preparing, compounding and dispensing medication in line with physician prescriptions and M42 and DOH policies. It is aimed at UAE nationals who want to make an impact on community health within a leading healthcare organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pharmaceutical operations: medication preparation, verification, compounding, packaging, labeling, dispensing and delivery in line with regulatory and organisational standards.
• Review and interpret physicians' prescriptions and medication orders, identifying potential drug interactions and therapeutic incompatibilities.
• Verify medication orders, PBM approvals, billing charges and pharmaceutical preparations for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient medication records and pharmacy documentation.
• Support inventory management, including controlled drug monitoring, stock control and removal of expired or damaged medicines.
• Take part in clinical pharmacy programmes, quality improvement, research and patient safety projects.
• Counsel patients and their families on medication use and adherence, following infection prevention and safety protocols.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams, support pharmacy logistics and communicate regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
• Active UAE pharmacist licence.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, medication management and patient safety.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
