Pharmacology Faculty Position (Professor/Associate/Assistant)

About the role

RAK Medical and Health Sciences University is seeking qualified candidates for a faculty position in Pharmacology at the level of Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor. The role involves delivering high‑quality teaching, advancing research, and contributing to the university’s academic community.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in medical pharmacology using English as the medium of instruction.
• Design, develop and assess curricula and teaching materials in line with contemporary medical education principles.
• Supervise student research projects, theses and dissertations.
• Conduct independent research, publish findings in peer‑reviewed indexed journals and secure research funding.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees and contribute to university governance.
• Mentor junior faculty and provide leadership within the department.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB or MD) and a Master’s in Medical Pharmacology.
• Ph.D. in Medical Pharmacology or an equivalent qualification recognized by the relevant Medical Council.
• Minimum three years of post‑doctoral teaching experience in a reputable medical college.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Demonstrated record of research publications in indexed journals.
• High emotional intelligence, physical fitness and ability to work collaboratively.
