Kids Robotics & Coding Instructor

About the role

Rixos, a luxury resort chain founded in 2000 in Turkey, is looking for a Kids Robotics & Coding Instructor for its kids club. The instructor teaches children to build and program simple robots and introduces them to basic programming and computational thinking through hands-on STEM activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and run robotics, coding and STEM activities for different age groups, adapting methods to each child's age, ability and interests
• Teach children to build, program and operate simple robots with age-appropriate kits and coding platforms
• Ensure the safety and well-being of children during every session, supervise them and follow child protection and emergency procedures
• Maintain the robotics and coding area, check and record equipment such as kits, computers and tablets, and report damage or needs
• Communicate professionally with children, parents and guardians, give feedback on children's progress and gather feedback to improve activities
• Follow activity schedules, coordinate with the Entertainment team, keep attendance and activity records, and help organise special events and workshops

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, diploma or relevant qualification in robotics, computer science, engineering, education or STEM education preferred
• Previous experience teaching robotics, coding or STEM to children highly preferred
• Good English and Russian; additional languages are an advantage
• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays, and physically fit for rescue, standing and outdoor duties

Required skills

• Familiarity with educational robotics kits, block-based coding platforms and basic programming concepts
• Ability to explain technical concepts simply and engage children
• Teamwork with the Kids Club and Entertainment teams, and understanding of child supervision and safeguarding
