Physical Education Teacher – Secondary Boys

About the role

The school is seeking a dedicated Physical Education Teacher to deliver engaging and differentiated PE lessons for secondary boys. You will work within the school's curriculum and the National Curriculum for England, fostering physical skills, fitness, confidence and a love of sport.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver challenging PE lessons that cater to a range of abilities, including students with additional learning or physical needs.
• Promote teamwork, leadership, resilience, discipline, sportsmanship and respect through sport.
• Maintain schemes of work, lesson plans and resources in line with departmental expectations.
• Assess, record and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Contribute to curriculum review, departmental assessment processes and reporting.
• Support extracurricular and competitive sports programmes, including coaching school teams and organising fixtures.
• Ensure safety and wellbeing during all lessons, activities and events, conducting necessary safety checks.
