About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an outstanding Physics Teacher for Yasmina British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting in January 2027. The role involves delivering the English National Curriculum and driving high standards of achievement across the department.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement departmental policies aligned with the school’s vision and high‑achievement goals.
• Use data to identify under‑achieving students and create targeted action plans.
• Design, review and evaluate schemes of work for all year groups, including provisions for SEN, G&T and EAL learners.
• Lead and performance‑manage the teaching team, ensuring effective deployment of staff and resources.
• Contribute to the school’s CAS programme and organise after‑school revision sessions for I/GCSE and IB DP courses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics (or related) with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum six years of teaching experience, preferably with the UK curriculum.
• Proven track record of raising standards and implementing effective learning strategies.
• Strong leadership experience and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of the English National Curriculum for physics.
• Leadership and performance‑management capabilities.
