Physiologist

About the role

A recruitment consultancy is looking for a Physiologist to join its client's team in Abu Dhabi. The employer is one of the UAE's largest government-affiliated healthcare networks, known for patient care and advanced medical facilities. The Physiologist assesses and diagnoses patients with physiological conditions, runs specialised tests and works with physicians to build treatment and rehabilitation plans. Experience with paediatric patients is highly preferred.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct physiological tests and assessments in respiratory, cardiovascular and exercise physiology
• Perform non-invasive diagnostic procedures, analyse results and prepare detailed reports
• Work with physicians to interpret findings and develop patient care plans
• Monitor patient progress and adjust testing or treatment approaches as needed
• Advise and educate patients on improving physiological function and overall health
• Ensure diagnostic equipment is operated, calibrated and maintained properly
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with healthcare regulations
• Follow infection control, safety and quality standards, and stay up to date on best practices in physiological testing

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Physiology, Clinical Physiology or a related field; Master's preferred
• Valid UAE healthcare professional licence or eligibility to obtain one
• At least 3 years of relevant clinical experience, including paediatric patient care
• Strong understanding of human physiology and clinical testing procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting
