Physiotherapist (UAE National) – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Our client is seeking a qualified physiotherapist to assess and treat patients with movement disorders, injuries or congenital conditions in Abu Dhabi. The role involves delivering evidence‑based physiotherapy, monitoring progress and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine the need for physiotherapy interventions.
• Assess patients according to professional practice guidelines and standards.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust or change treatments as needed.
• Treat patients with movement disorders acquired through injury or present since birth.
• Measure patient progress by observing reductions in stiffness, pain and discomfort.
• Recommend new tools and equipment to support regular exercise.
• Refer patients to specialists such as massage therapists, acupuncturists or hydrotherapy providers.
• Liaise with occupational therapists, general practitioners and other healthcare professionals.
• Involve families and caregivers in treatment programmes.
• Maintain accurate patient case notes and reports.
• Evaluate therapy outcomes and communicate patient progress.
• Stay up to date with new physiotherapy technologies and techniques.

Required profile

• Recognized Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy.
• Minimum two years post‑graduate experience in a variety of clinical environments.
• Valid DOH license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience in pediatrics and complex neurological presentations.
• Post‑qualifying certificates in areas such as sports injury rehabilitation, lymphedema management or scoliosis management.
• UAE national status with passport and family book.
