Pipeline Designer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

KBR is seeking an experienced Pipeline Designer to join its Abu Dhabi engineering team. You will lead the design of on‑shore oil & gas pipelines through Concept, FEED and Detail Engineering phases, ensuring safety, quality and compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and produce pipeline design scope drawings for Concept, FEED and Detail Engineering.
• Ensure all deliverables meet applicable codes such as ASME B31.4, B31.8 and API RP 1101.
• Coordinate with process, piping, mechanical, instrumentation, electrical, materials, corrosion, safety, construction, geotechnical, structural and civil disciplines to resolve technical issues.
• Mentor junior engineers, conduct technical reviews and provide feedback.
• Maintain engineering integrity, quality assurance and document control for all pipeline documents.
• Support field execution, conduct site visits when required and produce as‑built documentation.
• Contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives and knowledge‑sharing activities.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience delivering on‑shore pipeline design in Concept, FEED and Detail phases.
• Proven track record in EPCM projects within the oil & gas industry.
• Strong understanding of HSE practices and risk assessment methodologies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multi‑disciplinary teams and communicate technical information effectively.
