Planning Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Planning Engineer to support the preparation, monitoring and updating of construction programmes for a leading main contractor in Dubai. Reporting to the Head of Planning, you will ensure projects align with timelines, contractual requirements and company objectives while collaborating with construction, commercial, procurement and HSE teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare baseline programmes using Primavera P6 or MS Project, including activity lists, WBS, sequencing and durations.
• Update project programmes weekly/monthly, track site progress against baselines and highlight delays and critical activities.
• Prepare progress reports, S‑curves, histograms and management presentations.
• Maintain delay records and support Extension of Time and claims documentation.
• Liaise with construction, procurement and engineering teams, integrate subcontractor programmes and attend progress meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–6 years of planning experience on main‑contractor projects in the UAE/GCC.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project and Microsoft 365.
• Understanding of construction sequences, methodologies and planning principles.
