Planning Engineer (Infrastructure)

About the role

Jouzy Consulting Engineers, established in 1966 with offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, provides engineering services across the Middle East and North Africa. It is hiring a Planning Engineer (Infrastructure) in Dubai to review schedules, coordinate project resources and keep the programme on track.

Key responsibilities

• Review the Contractor's baseline schedule of works against contract conditions and Jouzy Recommended Practices.
• Ensure project resources are compatible for timely completion and develop a master schedule integrating multiple packages and their interdependencies.
• Evaluate and verify planning and scheduling information, identify potential delays and suggest mitigation measures.
• Prepare regular progress reports and monthly reports with programme analysis and recommendations.
• Coordinate with the contractor and employer to resolve planning and scheduling problems, attend meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
• Prepare trackers and logs to monitor critical issues during design and construction, and respond analytically to contractor notices.
• Issue delay notices for the contractor's culpable delay and slow performance, and keep proper contemporary project records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management from a recognised institution.
• 5 years of experience in infrastructure, utilities and landscaping, with a good understanding of the construction industry and its interface and coordination requirements.
• Thorough knowledge of industry best practices and regulations.
• Effective communication, presentation skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of professionals.
