Planning Engineer - SWRO

About the role

The Planning Engineer will develop, monitor, and control the schedule for a Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) desalination project in Fujairah, UAE. You will ensure effective planning, timely execution, and progress tracking across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• Establish baseline schedules, milestones, and critical paths.
• Monitor progress, update schedules regularly, and report variances.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and site teams for accurate inputs.
• Analyze schedule delays and propose mitigation strategies.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and forecasts.
• Track procurement, material delivery, and construction activities against the schedule.
• Support resource planning and allocation.
• Conduct risk analysis and scenario planning for schedule optimization.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide planning insights.
• Evaluate contractor schedules and ensure alignment with the master schedule.
• Assist in claims analysis, extension of time (EOT), and delay assessments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or equivalent).
• 6–10 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably on large industrial, infrastructure, or desalination projects.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience working in the Middle East, preferably the UAE.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP or Primavera P6 (preferred).
