Senior Engineer - Facilities

About the role

EFS UAE is looking for a Senior Engineer - Facilities in the Facilities Services industry. The role oversees the design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure facilities, ensuring their efficiency, safety and functionality. It suits a seasoned professional with 6 to 10 years of experience in facility engineering, project management and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of facility infrastructure projects from inception to completion.
• Manage and coordinate with external vendors, contractors and suppliers to ensure timely, quality delivery.
• Inspect and audit facility systems regularly to identify maintenance needs and compliance requirements.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the life of facility assets.
• Optimize operations by finding inefficiencies and applying cost-effective solutions.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes and safety standards.
• Supervise a team of engineers and technicians, giving guidance, training and performance feedback.
• Work with cross-functional teams to bring new technologies and sustainable practices into facility management.
• Prepare and manage the departmental budget, forecast expenses and control costs.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on facility engineering best practices and industry trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 6 to 10 years of experience in facility engineering, project management and team leadership.
• Proven experience managing large-scale facility projects focused on infrastructure development.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Professional certification such as CFM or PMP is a plus.
