Plant Operator – Hotel Facilities

About the role

The Plant Operator ensures that all hotel plant facilities operate smoothly, delivering a comfortable and safe environment for guests and staff. Working on‑site at a luxury hotel, you will manage HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and swimming‑pool systems while promoting energy efficiency and high standards of hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of all plant rooms, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and swimming‑pool equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections of plant rooms and pool systems, promptly addressing any issues.
• Handle, store, and apply chemicals for pool maintenance in line with safety and regulatory standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance on boilers, chillers, pumps, and filtration systems.
• Monitor swimming‑pool water quality (pH, chlorine, etc.) to meet health and safety requirements.
• Respond quickly to maintenance calls for plant rooms, pool systems, or other hotel facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, chemical usage, work orders, and inventory.
• Track and manage energy consumption, recommending and implementing energy‑saving initiatives.
• Source and procure parts, chemicals, and supplies needed for plant and pool upkeep.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition and suggest improvements to processes.
