Platform Deployment Engineer – AI Factory Delivery

About the role

Sharon AI is scaling its AI Factory platform and needs a Platform Deployment Engineer to own the deployment and delivery of high‑performance GPU compute environments. You will work remotely from the UAE, collaborating with network, infrastructure and operations teams to ensure each AI Factory is ready for customers from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and tune Kubernetes clusters (and Slurm where used) with GPU nodes under Rafay, meeting design and performance targets.
• Install the NVIDIA GPU Operator and other version‑locked platform components.
• Configure workload scheduling, resource allocation, multi‑tenant security and isolation.
• Set up self‑service APIs, CLI and portal access for GPU provisioning, integrating observability and monitoring.
• Plan and execute platform testing, including acceptance, integrated system, GPU performance and multi‑hour training jobs.
• Support customer site acceptance testing, record results, and resolve defects before handover.
• Work with on‑site staff and remote‑hands for physical tasks such as reseating or part swaps.
• Deliver repeatable deployments using Ansible, Terraform and shared scripts, measuring and improving cycle time.
• Document handover materials, runbooks and as‑built records, and transfer knowledge to Operations.
• Provide hyper‑care support for up to one month post‑deployment and report progress to the Regional Delivery Manager.

Required profile

• 4–8+ years of experience in platform engineering or SRE.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and GPU workloads in production.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud‑native infrastructure at scale.
• Proficiency with Ansible, Terraform and scripting in Python, Go or Bash.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
