Platform Engineer – Cloud, On‑Prem & Hybrid

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to design, build and optimise enterprise platforms across cloud, on‑premise and hybrid environments for our customers in the Middle East, Africa and beyond. The role is an individual contributor position that combines deep technical expertise with customer ownership and commercial awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and optimise full‑stack platforms, ensuring availability, scalability, security and performance.
• Own the lifecycle of Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes environments, including automation of delivery and operations using DevSecOps, CI/CD and GitOps practices.
• Act as the primary technical advisor for customer engagements, resolve complex platform issues and lead critical incident resolution.
• Identify continuous‑improvement, automation and standardisation opportunities and mentor junior engineers.
• Support pre‑sales activities, solution design, proposals, pricing and identify up‑sell or extension opportunities.
• Manage delivery scope, utilisation and margin to protect commercial outcomes.
• Travel across the Middle East, Africa and internationally as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on Red Hat OpenShift experience.
• Strong full‑stack capability in at least two of: OpenShift Platform Plus, Ansible, AWS, Kafka, Observability.
• Proven experience with CI/CD and GitOps tools such as ArgoCD, Flux, GitLab, GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana and/or Elastic for monitoring and observability.
• Extensive RHEL administration at scale.
• Ability to manage customers from both technical and commercial perspectives.
• Experience mentoring engineers and working independently on multiple engagements.
• Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) and at least three additional Red Hat certifications; CKA required, CKAD or CKS advantageous.
