Play Attendant – Water Sports & Beach Activities

About the role

Join the Water Sports & Beach Activities team at Madinat Jumeirah as a Play Attendant. You will create memorable experiences for guests by leading beach and pool programmes, organising events and ensuring safety across all water‑based activities.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the activity programme, team‑building sessions, birthday parties and events.
• Manning the climbing wall and water‑sport areas in line with Jumeirah health and safety standards.
• Maintain a cheerful, enthusiastic and courteous attitude at all times.
• Be familiar with all land and water‑sport activities offered.
• Organise activities for all guests.
• Entertain guests throughout the day on the beach and pool areas.
• Assist colleagues whenever possible and needed.
• Promote the daily activity schedule and attract as many participants as possible.
• Upsell and promote other activities such as water sports.
• Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and prepare for the following day’s programme.
• Maintain cleanliness of the activity areas.
• Be aware of fire and safety procedures.

Required profile

• At least 2 years experience in a similar role within a multicultural 5‑star hotel environment.
• Good interpersonal, time‑management and organisational skills.
• Customer‑focused, approachable and outgoing personality.
• Ability to relate to customers of all ages and special needs.
• Secondary education or equivalent.
• Excellent English communication skills.
